Wrexham are exploring the possibility of signing Southampton striker Adam Armstrong as they continue to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season.
The Welsh club’s priority remains a deal for Angers forward Siriki Cherif, with negotiations ongoing between the two sides. Cherif is seen as the ideal addition to Wrexham’s frontline, offering pace and attacking depth as the club prepares for another competitive campaign.
However, with talks yet to be finalised, Wrexham have identified Adam Armstrong as a strong alternative. The Southampton forward is understood to be available for a fee of around £15 million, making him a realistic option should the Cherif deal collapse.
Armstrong brings proven experience in English football and a consistent goal-scoring record, qualities that align with Wrexham’s long-term ambitions. A move for the former Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers striker would further signal the club’s intent to compete at a higher level and continue their rapid rise through the English football pyramid.
