Paul Mullin celebrates a goal for Wrexham amid Bradford City loan interest

The Paul Mullin loan move is progressing, with Bradford City in advanced talks to sign the Wrexham striker for the remainder of the season.

The Bantams want to improve their attacking output in the second half of the campaign and see Mullin as a key option to solve their goalscoring problems.

Paul Mullin Available After Wigan Spell Ends

Mullin is available after his loan spell at Wigan Athletic ended earlier this month. The 31-year-old scored four goals in 20 appearances during a difficult period at the club.

Wrexham are now working to secure Mullin a new move, continuing a wider reshuffle of players from their promotion-winning squad.

Bradford believe the striker still has plenty to offer at League One level.

Bradford City Look to Fix Scoring Problems

Bradford manager Graham Alexander wants to strengthen his forward line after a tough run of results. The Bantams have lost four of their last five matches and scored only three goals in that period.

The situation worsened when club legend Andy Cook left on loan to Grimsby Town, leaving Bradford short of experience up front.

Mullin has also attracted interest from Salford City. However, a move to West Yorkshire is understood to be his preferred choice.

Mullin Targets League One Revival

Paul Mullin built his reputation as one of the EFL’s most reliable finishers. He scored 32 goals for Cambridge United during their 2020–21 promotion season.

He then enjoyed prolific spells with Wrexham, playing a key role in the club’s rise from the National League to League One.

Now, Mullin wants to prove he can still deliver consistently at this level. Bradford City hope a loan deal can provide the spark they need as the transfer deadline approaches.
